In this movie Raja (Rajnikanth), son an estate owner, returns from abroad and learns from a family well-wisher that his father (Vijay Kumar) was ill treated and murdered by his fatherÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s second wife (Y Vijaya) and her brother (M R Radha Ravi). He decides to take up a job in his fatherÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s estate after befriending Sengamalam (Radha). He teams up with a rickshaw driver (Janakaraj) and introduces him to his fatherÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s family as the foreign returned Raja. After a while, Radha Ravi and his cronies learn the truth and kill Janakaraj. Raja is framed and arrested. He escapes from jail and meets Chinnarasu (Rajnikanth), an innocent person and RajaÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s look alike. Raja brainwashes Chinnarasu and they exchange places. Raja sets out to find the real culprits and punish them.The film, which was produced by R D Bhaskar, was the 125th film for Rajnikanth. Nadiya made a comeback in this film. IllayarajaÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s melodious music composition included the top number 'Meenamma Meenamma'.
